Park Place Tower is a condo building in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago. It is a 56-story high-rise with 901 condo units and a handful of awards under its belt. The official address of Park Place Tower is 655 W Irving Park Road, which is half a block from the Lakefront Trail and Lake Shore Drive. At 530 feet, it is Chicago's tallest residential building outside of the downtown area.

Park Place Tower was originally built in the early 1970s. It underwent a major renovation in the early 2000s that cost millions of dollars and lasted 5 years. During this time (2001 to 2006), Park Place Tower was converted from apartment residences to condo units, which are now considered coveted pieces of Chicago real estate.

The building's redesign won professional acclaim from the Interior Design Institute of British Columbia and the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago. It was named Best in Show and collected the Gold Medal Award of Excellence for 2002 from the former and received three Silver Key Awards from the latter in the same year.

Aside from an award-winning design, Park Place Tower has many creature comforts that make it a great place to call home. The floor plans vary in size and shape, offering studios, one-, and two-bedroom layouts. The building is equipped with central air and there are four bike rooms for residents to store their two-wheelers when not in use.

Other building amenities include an Olympic-size pool, sun deck, gym, yoga studio, basketball court, business center, dry cleaners, gourmet market, garage parking and 24-hour front desk security. The staff at 655 W Irving Park Road is said to be very nice and accommodating. With so many perks, Park Place Tower proves to be an ideal home for the city dweller.
